Catalog Note: Modern architecture, world-class art, and a pastoral landscape criss-crossed by 18th century stone walls come together seamlessly at the Philip Johnson Glass House in the bucolic town of New Canaan, CT, about one hour northeast of New York City. Built between 1949 and 1995 by renowned architect Philip Johnson, the estate is now owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and welcomes about 13,000 visitors from around the globe each year.
Mark your next big occasion with a gourmet meal in one of the most unique and memorable places in the world – The Glass House. This iconic piece of architecture, set high atop a dramatic hill in the Connecticut countryside, was home to influential architect Philip Johnson. Gaze out on the scenic landscape, surrounded by glass, as you and your guests dine at Philip’s table. The day will also include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Glass House, including the Studio Library and world-class art collection. This truly one-of-a-kind setting presents a unique opportunity for an unforgettable evening.

First Course: Parsnip and apple soup with toasted hazelnuts.
Entrée: Flat iron steak with rutabaga puree, trumpet mushrooms, and kale or roasted eggplant with rutabaga puree, trumpet mushrooms, and kale.
Dessert: Sweet potato cheesecake mousse tartlet with spiced spike caramel, pecan praline crumbles and gingersnap ice cream or fresh seasonal fruit.
